Hunter Parrish

Who: Hunter Parrish
He may be a sexed-up rebel on Showtime’s pot dramedy Weeds, but in reality, Hunter Parrish is the type of guy you would want to bring home to your parents. Going from high school bully in 17 Again to son of Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin in It’s Complicated, Hunter’s no stranger to the big-screen- and he’s also got the vocal chops to boot! Catch him in the Broadway revival of the 70s musical, Godspell.
What:  Whether you’re dressing for a day on or off campus, you can never go wrong with some collegiate-inspired gear. And by that, we don’t mean simply branding the name of your preferred institution across your chest in sweats. Go for some preppy sophistication by layering over your day-to-day cardigans and sweaters with something hip and different. Hunter wears a corduroy suit byClaiborne, by John Bartlett.
Want to opt for the simple? More often than not, the addition of one great, simple piece to everyday wear- take above’s wool duffel coat -will suffice. And you can never go wrong with a university scarf.

Emma Stone

Who: Emma Stone
Charming us with fun-loving and quirky roles in films like Easy A andCrazy, Stupid, Love, Emma Stone has rapidly built herself one heck of a career in Hollywood, and her equally impressive sartorial resume is one that hasn’t been easy to skip past, either! Keep an eye out for her as Gwen Stacey in upcoming blockbuster The Amazing Spiderman, alongside Andrew Garfield.
What: While we remain a huge fan of Emma’s show-stopping red carpet ensembles, we believe that there’s something to be said about her more subdued choices, too. Pictured above, Emma opts for a casually sophisticated look with a sheer tank by L’Agence, tucked into a printed skirt by Sachin + Babi. The silk geometric overlays add interest and depth to the mini whilst allowing Emma’s flawless pins to take centre stage. Finally, the short flirty number is proportionately balanced with a 3/4 sleeved motorcycle jacket and nude suede pumps.

Ryan Lochte

Nothing screams summer more than a six time Olympic gold medalist decked out in boardies with a surfboard by his side, whilst (nicely) skulling a can of mountain dew.
With temperatures steadily on the rise here in Sydney and the grey winter sky increasingly being replaced by an infinite, cloudless blue, it’s hard not to look forward to the change of season…and fashion!
Beach bum? Surfer dude? Fight those awkward half-cold/half-warm days with a light cardigan or hoodie. Opt for more neutral shades either in plain block colours or simple stripes such as Ryan’s Nautica Jeans Co. hoodie to complement the bright hues of boardies. If the chills persist- fight it with a cashmere beanie or hat. We love Meg Cohen’s range here

Lea Michele

Who: Lea Michele
Since taking on the role of Rachel Berry on Glee, she’s become one of television’s biggest names and red-carpet regular. In the spotlight at the mere age of 9 as the young Cosette in Les Miserables, since then her soprano vox has graced Broadway in the acclaimed Spring Awakening and taken many of Glee’s numbers to the charts.
What: The starlet proves to be a showstopper both on and off-screen in a one-shoulder Versace gown at the 2012 SAG Awards. The corseted Grecian number featured a light train at the hem and a thigh-high slit for a daring leg-show. Lea topped off her look with silver Casedei pointed pumps and a set of Lorraine Schwartz bangles, whilst her traditional bombshell hair kept all attention on the dress (or should we say, legs?).

Aaron Tveit

Who: Aaron Tveit
Link Larkin, Fiyero and Frank Abagnale Jr, this Broadway baby has got all this and more under his belt. But you probably know him best as Tripp Van Der Bilt on Gossip Girl, the conniving cousin of the equally delicious Nate Archibald. While that preppy exterior is positively adored, Aaron’s swapping cardigans and pea-coats for boots and breeches, starring as student revolutionary Enjolras in Tom Hooper’s revamp of Les Miserables, due out December this year.
What: Men’s fashion totally does not get the boring end of winter wardrobes- especially not like this! Aaron keeps it clean with a peep of white under a striped Henley, topped off with your go-to publicity photo favourite- a leather jacket. Lightening up the ensemble is the simple touch of a scarf that keeps in step with a classic gun-metal grey colour scheme, making the perfect winter statement that is casual yet polished.

Rooney Mara

Who: Rooney Mara
If there’s one girl that makes fashion 10 times more interesting, it’s Rooney Mara- simply for her propensity to defy the typical hair-extensions-and-honey-skin starlet replete. Other than that, we don’t know anyone who has managed to die their hair jet black and not look like a dying cancer patient. You know her best as tough-ass Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s critically acclaimed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
What:  With a knack for picking interesting twists on classic fashion pieces, Rooney was decked top to toe in white Givenchy at the Tokyo premiere of TGWTDT. With structured ruffles that appear in all the right places, the piece tapers to a beautiful backless design that accentuates her petite upper body.
And while such a dramatic head of hair is usually hard to wear due to its propensity to drain the skin, Rooney uses it to highlight her flawless complexion and light eyes by pulling her ebony locks back into a simple bun. All we have left to say is: Never change, Rooney.

Jessica Biel

Who: Jessica Biel
Easily one of the hottest A listers right now in Hollywood and one of tinsletown’s most sought after actresses, you can’t go wrong with Jessica Biel as a style icon. Frequently on the hot list of big name mags such as Esquire, FHM, Maxim and Empire, I think it’s about time we took some time out to appreciate (and absorb!) some of her style habits.
What: You just can’t go wrong with dress pants! Great for work or nights out with girlfriends, this must have wardrobe piece can add that extra easy spice that many strive for when putting together an ensemble. This look looks great when paired with a casual blouse, or it you’re heading out for something a bit more special, a fitted and frilled satin tank like Jessica’s. For a chic executive look, grab those classic black pumps!

Justin Timberlake

Who: Justin Timberlake
No girl can go through life without having a JT phase. Whether you loved him from the start in the good ol’ days of N’Sync, discovered him in his solo career or fell in love with his acting, this one’s a man for the ages.
What: Ah, Justin. What can we say. Now that we’ve gone past the fashion dilemmas of the 90s, everything this guy throws on seems to be next to perfect- crisp and clean without seeming to have tried hard. At all. The secret, we thinks, is dressing in patterns of 3’s. Consider:
Exhibit A
Your classic working man attire,Timberlake style with a basic white collared shirt, v-neck sweater and tie, finsihed with a leather jacket and hat.

Exhibit B
Personal favourite- Semi Casual. Observe the sport coat over a v-neck sweater over   a t-shirt, and finally paired with jeans. An appropriate choice for any occasion, with the scarf, glasses and hat adding that extra touch of San Francisco flair and European trends.

Exhibit C

As if you haven’t already gotten the big 3 hint, already, lets end with a wide striped collared shirt with a checkered tie, a grey-blue leather jacket with grey jeans and finally, he tones it all down with brown work boots. A great daytime look, yet also works for that nice evening out with friends.
Getting that bubbly, men-who-dress-well-are-so-sexy feeling inside? Check out Justin’s fashion line William Rast. where he teams up with pal Trace Ayala to join fashion houses like RodarteJean Paul GaultierProenza Schouler andZac Posen to bring more affordable labels to the masses.

Matt Bomer

Who: Matt Bomer
Aptly known for his role as the suave and sexy Neal Caffrey on USA Network’s White Collar, and frequent style setter on Who What Wear
What: We love a guy who can look a billion bucks and look like he hasn’t put in any effort at all. Whether you’re heading out to run errands, or like Matt, headed to somewhere just that bit more special, tan leather jackets give you not only that flair and sophistication but take practically no time in sliding on. Pair with an open neck shirt and faded jeans and you’ve got yourself one versatile ensemble.

Mischa Barton

Who: Mischa Barton
Most famous for her role as Marissa on The OC, but you’ve probably seen her face in the odd movie, or as a guest star on other TV shows.
What: Ah, the blazer- a garment of choice here at WhoWhatWear. Like Ralph Lauren’s ‘Goodman’ that has been seen on many women of the fashion world (including the gorgeous Blake Lively), this one is yet another feminine version of the menswear staple. Mischa’s style however, opts for more adventurous approach, with multi-layers of patterned silk scarves diminishing the boring vectors of her otherwise simple concoction of an outfit. A nice path to tread if you’re feeling particularly sassy and wanna spice things up, and of course it doesn’t hurt to use this method to throw in some splashes of colour to any outfit.

Stuart Holden

Who: Stuart Holden
Scottish-born American footballer currently playing for the Bolton Wanderers. You may also remember his face from the recent World Cup, proudly representing the USA.
What:  Fashion can be a bit of a selfish dilemma. You wouldn’t want someone else to buy that pair of heels that you desperately crave because 1. You just want it, and 2. They make your legs look like they go for a million miles. Moral of the story: People wear things that accentuate the best parts of their body. No idea if Stu did this consciously or not, but dayum, those shoulders! Proving that basics really do go a long way, he sports the perfect summer look for guys with his combination of a loose, neutral  tee and checked shorts/8ths. Throw in some arm accessories, a chain that compliments that v-neck, and boom.

Usher

Who: Usher
Undeniably one of the biggest stars to hit the music scene, this Grammy-award winning superstar has definitely made his mark on the world of hip-hop and RnB. From the days of his burning confessions to this year’s OMG, he’s one of those artists whose tunes everybody finds themselves dancing to at least once in their lives.
What: Usher has no doubt brought a whole new level of style to the world with his, as PEOPLE style director Susan Kaufman likes to call it, “bling outfits”. Definitely a man in favour of suits, most people remember him for making the most of his ensembles by accessorizing with a debonair pocket square or those omni-present sunglasses. Casual Usher is something to be treasured, and this is no exception. The sleekness of a fedora and vest over simple flannel and denim is definitely something we cannot argue against, and definitely cements his status as one of Hollywood’s most stylish men.

Alex Gerrard

Who: Alex Gerrard
WAG; noun- a term used to refer to female companions of football players i.e. Wives And Girlfriends. Alex Gerrard- wife to Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard, fashion columnist for the UK’s Daily Mirror- dubbed uber-WAG byTime
What: Granted, Alex may not be a humongous star in the traditional media fashion galaxy, but here we give credit to the Brits. Alex sports the perfect summer outfit- chic sophistication courtesy of a Twenty8Twelve playsuit, Lanvinsandals, House of Harlow 1960 necklace and a Hermes Birkin bag. You know what they say, if you can’t live like a WAG, at least you can laboriously peruse the fashion of the WAGs

Tom Brady

Who: Tom Brady
Meet Thomas Edward Brady, Jr. Quarterback for the New England Patriots, husband to Gisele Bundchen, and pretty darn close to number #1 on my list of most stylish.
What: Quarterbacks usually find plenty of attention for their personal style and quite honestly, it bores us half the time…but not this guy. With pretty much a second second career in fashion, this man dares to mix traditional American blue-blazer looks with European minimalism. Put simply, converging elements- like this one! Consider the contemporary blazer over a sweatshirt, finished off with a checked/flannel scarf, and there you have classic athleticism fused with European flavours, made possible by the slightly conservative yet go-anywhere appeal of the blazer.

Zooey Deschanel

Who: Zooey Deschanel
It seems like one day this girl just popped outta nowhere and onto our movie screens, charmingly leaving us with her endearing quirkiness. With a hit TV series on her belt with New Girl, she’s also had roles in Yes Man and 500 Days of Summer amongst various other projects, and oh, she’s in a band!
What: It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to notice that vintage trends have been creeping back into the fashion scene at a rapid pace, and if there’s one celeb who wears it well, it’s Zooey. The best part is that she never overdoes her style- just look at how much that outfit says without the generic Hollywood bedazzlement. Moral of the story? Refresh yourself with old school style

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Who: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Bio: Making a name for himself in Hollywood, you most likely remember this cutie co-starring with Zooey Deschanel in 500 Days of Summer. Check out his own tumblr blog here Hitrecordjoe.
What: JGL’s honourable mention here on Who What Wear arrives due to his uniquely slim frame, demonstrating that trimmer cut clothing is infinitely more flattering for all. For many years, the emphasis on plumper proportions have led retailers to “muscle tag” clothing, a la A&F- just look at the male models they use. However it is time to give voice to the leaner men, those who sport higher, narrower armholes, trimmer torsos and thinner pant legs- an eccentrically beautiful, artistic sense of style that can’t be missed. Refreshing, no?
